FabMate makes creating and managing estimates easier in several ways. One way we simplify the process is by adding the ability to define reusable parts to an estimate. For example, our client manufactured stairs that had certain elements that were always included in the construction of that stair (similar material, fabrication points, and installation line items). By using our software, they were able to define their "template" stair, and then use that template in future estimates, rather than having to re-enter all information from scratch. This design eliminates the possibility of missing an important element for that item in the estimate.

Another way FabMate helps you is that it has built in verifications and double checks in several places to make sure that your entry is accurate. All math is double and triple checked and if there is an irregularity, FabMate will warn you and in certain areas prevent you from such entry. FabMate has saved our client several thousands of dollars in potential miscalculated figures as had occurred prior to using FabMate.

FabMate creates professional, customized estimate reports in Adobe PDF format. Adobe PDF documents are universally accepted across all computers (Microsoft, Mac/Apple, Linux, etc.) so you won't have to worry about your recipient not having the proper software to read your document. If your recipient doesn't have Adobe Reader installed, it's a quick free download from the internet. In addition, you can secure your documents with encryption so that they remain confidential and are only viewed by those with the password that you provide. FabMate reports (specifically proposals) can automatically be emailed or faxed to your clients right from within the FabMate software, making it easy to deliver your estimates at the speed of the internet!
